We work primarily with Global Brands, Media Companies, Ad Agencies Marketing Departments and Production Companies.
Finding the right creative team to create a video can be difficult. With so many options out there, the process can get overwhelming, especially when you have a tight turnaround and deadlines to meet. We excel at listening to our clients’ needs and quickly introducing them to the team they are looking for.
There is no fee for clients or creatives to use the platform. We take a 15% cut from the gross of any project that gets executed through the site.
We pride ourselves with having professional filmmakers on our site. On average, the cost for most videos can run anywhere from 30k-300k. Our creatives are a global and diverse group all of whom are experienced in working with different styles and budgets.
A smaller budget doesn't always have to limit creativity. For example, rather than a full team, we could provide you with a talented freelancer who could work remotely to help manage costs. We are always ready to help brainstorm different approaches to help execute your creative vision within budget.
Yes, typically they are. It never hurts to ask if someone is available, and willing to negotiate; we are more than happy to facilitate specific rate inquiries with our creatives.
For freelancers: Fast! We can help you find a Director, Shooter, Editor or Motion Graphics Artist in as quickly as 48 to 72 hours.
For larger projects: Ideally you will receive pitches in 3-5 days, but if you need them sooner we will expedite the process.
Of course we can help you with one day turnarounds. Who in our business hasn’t needed to find an emergency last minute Editor or Animator tomorrow? We know what that is like and can help put out the call for talent to quickly fill that job with a highly skilled person or team.
Our job at Creative Humans is to make the first introduction, so you won’t find URLs or any personal links back to their work. Each creative is assigned a unique Creator ID number. You share that with us and we’ll be happy to help make the introduction.
All the creators on the Creative Humans platform are carefully screened before their profiles go live. We interview each candidate and only accept established, talented creatives with a successful track record of proven experience working with big brands and media companies.
We look for creatives who are seasoned professionals with the ability to work independently. The days of the supervised edit are fading quickly and we know that you need to hire reliable talent who can collaborate, take direction and help execute a project to completion. Of course this isn’t to say you won’t be involved in the creative production, but it does mean that you can be confident the creative you hire knows how to get the job done with expertise and originality, without hand-holding.
Absolutely, if your video requires a full production team, Creative Humans will find you the best production company or animation studio for the job. These teams can handle everything from pre-production through final delivery.
We only allow the creative to post work that they were paid to produce... No Reels, no shorts, no specs, no pilots. We only share work created for and paid for by clients.
We are laser focused only on video and we are highly selective with the people and teams we accept on the platform. This saves you time further vetting your candidates and ensures that we are only sending you the most capable people to review.
There is no fee for clients or creatives to use the platform. We take a 15% cut from the gross of any project that gets executed through the site.
Yes! Some of our favorite projects have been with agencies. Agencies love working with us because we can help them on all different sizes of productions and we deliver a high-quality product for a reasonable price.
Most of the talent you’ll find on Creative Humans already has a great deal of experience working with agencies.
On this platform, we have Production Companies, Animation Studios, Editors, Directors, Motion Graphic Artists and Cinematographers.
We respectfully ask that you rehire via the platform if we helped identify and hire your creative within the last year/365 days.
It’s easy! Simply create an account and fill out as much information as you can on the “Post a Job” page. After you’ve submitted your job, we will review it and set up a time to speak with you and get on the same page before recommending the best candidates for the job.
Your posting will be sent out to 3-5 of the most compatible creatives for the project. They will then have 3-5 days to put together a proposal for you. The proposal will include the creative’s full name and bio, a description on how they will tackle your project creatively, links to relevant work they have produced and a pitch on why they are the best person or team for the job. Those proposals will all be sent over for your review. You can then set up times to speak to your favorite candidates and move forward with the production.
We are not involved in the creative process once the hire is complete -- you likely don’t need one more round of notes. We are there to make sure that milestones get hit, that everyone is happy and that the bills get paid.
Of course, if there ever is an issue from either side, we are here to help. Whether you’re the client or the creative, just please come to us first and we’ll help address any issues you might have.
Absolutely, that is what our creatives live for! They thrive on getting the opportunity to come up with ideas and creative solutions for your projects.
Coming up with a creative concept isn’t easy. Shoot us an email at hello@creativehumans.com and let’s set up a call and talk about the needs of your project and help point you in the right direction.
Our clients’ satisfaction is our top priority and we want to know what is going on with your projects. If you aren’t happy, please email us at hello@creativehumans.com. We are here to help and we aren’t skittish about getting our hands dirty.
You are under no obligation to choose anyone who has sent you a pitch. If you feel none of them are the right fit, that’s okay, we can reach out and pull together another round of pitches. If you ultimately decide to not move forward with any of our creatives, we respectfully remind you that any of the concepts, ideas or pitches sent to you via Creative Humans are not yours to be produced elsewhere.
If the project is already halfway through completion per the statement of work, then we request a 50% kill fee be paid. Of course if it’s very early on and there are extenuating circumstances we try to work in good faith with each other.
If you need storyboards to be included in each pitch, just specify this request when you create your job post. Our creatives aim to deliver what your project requires!
We have video teams and freelancers all over the world. A large number of
our creatives are currently located in New York and Los Angeles.
Both, it just depends on the client and their needs.
The cost of a video can vary drastically based on specific client requirements.
Factors such as length, style, and approach all impact the budget. If you are
interested in getting a few bids or just want to get an idea for how much your
production would cost, please feel free to email us at hello@creativehumans.com and we can talk it through.
Yes, of course. Just fill out a Job Request and we can gather bids along with
your pitches.
Yes, you just need to let us know the union requirements for that person or company and we’ll find you the best freelancer or team for the job.
All payments are run through Creative Humans. After the contract is complete we will invoice, collect the payment and pass on the creative’s fee directly to them.
All payments run through Creative Humans. This means that you only have one vendor to onboard. This helps you minimize paperwork and opens you to working with new creatives quickly and efficiently.
It varies. For full productions most often 50% will be invoiced upfront and 50% upon completion. For larger jobs we might ask the contract to set up a 25% - 25% - 50% payment structure. If you hire a freelancer for a weekly job, an invoice will be sent out at the end of each week, or if a flat rate is agreed upon it will again be 50% upfront and 50% upon completion of the job.
You only have to pay after the contract has been fully executed and you have chosen the creative you want to work with.
Creative Humans is in charge of negotiating and executing all contracts.
It depends on the job; we have our own production services agreement available or we can use a contract supplied to us via the client.
An invoice will be sent out by Creative Humans to the client as soon the contract is completed. For large productions most often 50% will be invoiced upfront and 50% upon completion of the job. For larger jobs we might ask the contract to be set up 25% - 25% - 50%. If you are hiring a freelancer for a weekly job, an invoice will be sent out at the end of each week.
Creative Humans collects 15% of the gross for any project or freelancer booked via the platform.
No, you are an independent contractor working directly for the client who books you.
The client owns the video and all intellectual property attached to the project.
Creative Humans does not provide insurance for productions and is not responsible for any damages or injured. Insurance requirements will depend on the person or company whose job you book.
You must be at least 18 years old to be a member of Creative Humans.
At no time should you use any footage, music, logos or artwork that is trademarked or copyrighted by another party, unless you have explicit permission to do so.
No copyrighted music or melodies should be used in your work without permission. All of the music should come from a licensed music provider.
If you do compose a piece of original music, you should plan to provide the client with a composer agreement and to sell or negotiate the rights with them.
In advance of filming, it is the creative's responsibility to collect signed and fully executed talent releases from all the talent.
We look for teams and freelancers who have extensive and proven experience working directly with brands and agencies. We want creatives who know what they are doing, can work independently and if need be, with limited supervision.
Productions can stressful -- we seek people who play well with others,
have strong communication skills and a good attitude.
Of course not, we don’t believe in exclusivity. You are always free to find work outside of our platform. However, if you already do have representation, just make sure your current contract is non-exclusive as well.
Per our terms of service, if Creative Humans connected you with a client and they hired you within the past 365 days, then you should both continue to use the platform for your future projects.
At this time, your videos have to be on a Vimeo page for you to share them on Creative Humans.
We ask that you update your setting on your Vimeo page and remove our title, share, heart, watch later and the end card from work shared on your profile. Here is a link to see the instructions: http://bit.ly/2RzJDfE

Maybe in the future, but right now we are only focusing on helping clients find talent for freelance projects.
Not yet; currently we are laser-focused on finding projects for Production Companies, Animation Studios, Shooters, Editors, Animators and Directors.
Our job at Creative Humans is to make the first introductions for you. Simply put, we don’t want people to navigate around the platform.
